The Technology Behind Control Pro
Elite EsTec 5005B Latex
The primary latex compound used in the Control Pro range is Elite EsTec 5005B — a palm formulation developed specifically for consistent, high-performance grip across all weather conditions, with particular excellence in cold and wet environments. Where the Prime Pro's Ultra GTech Pro latex is optimised for peak dry-weather tackiness, EsTec 5005B is engineered around the wet-grip demands of goalkeepers who play in variable climates and cannot afford grip drop-off when conditions deteriorate.
EsTec latex provides a firm, responsive contact surface — it grips with authority rather than the maximum softness of a pure match-day compound, which means it delivers more consistent grip feedback across the full range of conditions and a longer service life compared to the highest-tack Pro latex compounds.
Hybrid Cut — Roll and Negative Combined
The Hybrid Cut used across the Control Pro range is a proprietary palm construction that combines roll finger and negative cut engineering in a single glove. Roll finger construction wraps the latex fully around the finger from palm to backhand, maximising the latex contact surface during saves. Negative cut construction pulls the seams to the outside, eliminating dead space between the palm and the hand for a precise, hand-glued feel.
By combining both techniques — roll on the main finger zones for contact area, negative-cut precision across the palm — the Hybrid Cut delivers the grip surface of a roll finger glove with the snug hand contact of a negative cut. The double wrapped thumb adds an additional latex wrap at the most load-bearing contact point during high catches. This is the cut choice for goalkeepers who find pure negative cut too tight and pure roll finger too bulky — the Hybrid Cut is the engineered middle ground.
AVM — Air Ventilation Management Fabric
Control Pro gloves incorporate Air Ventilation Management (AVM) fabric in the backhand and finger gussets. AVM is a specialist material that enables active air circulation within the glove, reducing heat and moisture build-up during extended play. In high-intensity match conditions, glove heat reduces both grip performance and hand comfort. AVM fabric maintains airflow throughout the hand, keeping the palm surface at a consistent temperature and preventing the sweat accumulation that degrades latex contact during the second half of a demanding match.
3D-Embossed BGS Backhand
The backhand panels on Control Pro gloves use 3D-embossed BGS (Backhand Grip System) latex with reinforced backing foam at the Shock Zone — the key impact area across the top of the hand on powerful shots. The 3D emboss pattern adds structured protection and distributes impact energy across the backhand rather than concentrating it at a single point.
The Control Pro Flagship Models
The Revolution II series — available in multiple combi colourways (Aqua, White, Pink, Emerald, Black) — represents the broadest product range within Control Pro, offering Hybrid Cut construction across a range of designs accessible at the mid-tier price point. The Aqua H is the technical wet-weather specialist in the range: EsTec 5007B (Aqua variant) latex optimised specifically for cold and wet conditions, with 4 removable finger spines and the 360° latex wrist strap for match stability.
The Black Real and Lion are the Control Pro models for goalkeepers who want a performance-focused glove with a clean, minimal aesthetic at the €81.95–€82.95 price point.
Use the Size & Fit Guide to confirm sizing. Control Pro gloves are designed for a snug, anatomical fit — if between sizes, sizing down is recommended to get the full benefit of the Hybrid Cut precision.
